A business partners last name is Picard. We’re an electrical/hardware manufacturer. My concern is that if we name our self after Picard, my business partners name, we might get some trouble from Star Trek, one of the leading characters is called Jean Luc Picard. In concept, I don’t feel as though we would have any problems calling our business Picard Electrics or something along the lines of that, but if we start showing pictures of drones people might think we are infringing on Star Trek.
I am an experienced spa manager and have funds in place lease several units across the south of UK which I intend to convert in to beauty spas. I will lease 1 or 2 to start with once they are up and running will lease more. I have the funding to lease several units and looking for partners to run the spas or possibly self employed who will rent the spa facilities. There are a couple of potential spas but am open to suggestions. If you are looking for investment for a beauty spa in the south coast please contact me with your details and we can see how it goes.
Based in West Sussex. Looking for an architect for a property extension.
Based in Midlands. Previously posted looking for investment properties in Midlands. I had a few responses but would like to see what other opportunities there are throughout the rest of the country. I have investment ready, mostly personal and a small amount from partners, looking for a small commercial property or large residential property. Looking for something I can lease out, I may consider selling on but this likely wont be for 5-7 years or more. Looking forward to any replies
Will we ever see a point in time when more people are working from home? Given the circumstances its difficult to see a point where as many people will be working from home as they are currently. There’s plenty of sources saying working that they are impressed by the results and found working from home more beneficial than previously thought. I’ve seen on Linkedin managers saying how they will likely encourage working from home and most are looking to incorporate a 2/3 day split where 2 or 3 days will be in the office and 2 or days will be working from home.

I've worked in my profession now for 20 years and some points I can offer are: Take advantage of all opportunities to learn from people in the field. There will always be more than one way to solve a problem, try to listen to as many opinions and experiences as possible to get the best understanding of how the problem can be solved. If you get the chance to learn new skills you should take the opportunity, science, economics, politics even human psychology have helped in my career. Remember that nobody can do everything on their own.
How much does an architect usualy get paid or what is a typical architects salary in uk? I have just read an article on an Architects websites saying that about a third of those studying architecture and around 20% qualified architects had faced stress or anxiety, mostly related to debt or income.
Hi. I have been running a small decorating company for a long while and usually generate revenue in the £10,000s each month. I've just been approached by a client and they want to offer a large project, more than all the work I get from all my clients at the moment but they only want to put a deposit to start and pay the rest on completion. As I usually deal with smaller clients I usually receive all or the majority of the payment upfront.
